Nunda Township Recycling Center is open during regular business hours (7:00-3:30) Monday through Friday all year.

From April through October, Saturday hours are 8:00AM until noon on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.

From November through March, Saturday hours are 8:00AM until noon on the 2nd Saturday of the month.

PAINT & OIL RECYCLING

Nunda Township Road District is a proud member of IEPA's paint recycling program. Paint Recycling is available at the Nunda Township Road District from mid April until October (weather permitting).

Residents can drop off paint during regular business hours (7:00-3:30) Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 8:00AM until noon on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.

  • We ONLY accept Latex and Oil-Based paint.
  • We DO NOT accept aerosols, thinners, stains, paint removers, or any other household products.
  • All paint for recycling MUST BE brought to our facility during the designated paint recycling times.
  • REUSE All usable paint that is brought in for recycling will be sorted by type and color. The paint will be mixed, strained and combined into 5-gallon containers.

You may contact the Road District at 459-4410 for further details on obtaining the paint that is recycled. All unusable paint will be poured into 55-gallon drums and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner by the IEPA.

OIL RECYCLING Nunda Township Road District accepts used motor oil for recycling all year during regular business hours (7:00-3:30) Monday through Friday. From April through October, Saturday hours are 8:00AM until noon on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. From November through March, Saturday hours are from 8:00AM until noon on the 2nd Saturday of the month.

Only waste oil will be accepted, no anti-freeze or other chemicals are allowed. The waste motor oil is used in a waste oil heater to heat the Road District garage. This helps cut down on heating costs and puts the waste oil to a good use.
